Is the show Doug really going back on the air? I really miss that show and I heard it was. Please let this be true.
I love Doug, thank you so much. please come back Doug!!
Dear Jim,it's me, Chelsea. Thanks for making this site! I, of course, wanted a little bit more. Perhaps if you put a little more time into it things will surprise you! I know so many people who love your work (not just Doug)! I'm a huge fan. Thanks for making my life a little bit brighter! :]
Thanks for Doug!
For me it is the best serie ever!!
I hope Doug comes out on DVD on German sometimes.
Thanks for all :)
Thank you for creating DOUG. I love both the show and the movie. My favorite character is Willy White. I really like his color of purple hair. Pretty cool. My favorite Doug episode is where DOUG accidently knocks down Patti's old house with a rock! Pretty cool episode! I liked it in the movie when Herman Melville the monster dranks out of Skeeter's toilet and Skeeter says Herman! Bad! No dranking out of the toilet! I just died laughing at that scene! I also liked it when the boys show Bud Dink Herman Melville and Mr. Dink faints! PRETTY HILLARIOUS! Jim Doug was a great part of my childhood and I thank you for bringing him to life. I hope that both DOUG Episodes and the Movie come to DVD soon! We need them on DVD! Thank you Jim!
Wonderful, wonderful. Would love to see more updates on your current projects. :)
I remember Doug, that was a cool nicktoon. I especailly enjoyed the verbal sound effects, instead of the traditional sound effects. It was something I can relate to within my teen years. I heard that someone had made a fan bases live action movie of your show. I tried to find out your response as it said. But I figured that you gave him an angrily Ceist and Desist warning, as maybe you had plans to create the same thing. Just a guess.
I think that the guy that does the verbal effects on the show can bee seen on the Pbs kid show Between the Lions.
Loved Doug as a kid and even more as a native Richmonder. Have so many questions concerning the connections between the show and the town. I have also been thinking of doing an animation satire project about my childhood in a Richmond inner city private school one day. Thanks!
Doug was an amazing heartfelt cartoon that shaped a generation. Thanks for creating such a great show.
Mr. Jinkins. Watching Doug as a 24 year old is even more special to me than it was when I was a kid. It always resonated with me in a truly impacting way. I actually have it on right now, and I am just in awe at its brilliance. Intended or not, the depictions of Doug's anxiety are spectacularly relatable and even tangible. They remind me of my own anxiety, something I've dealt with my entire life. More importantly, the character's logical look into overcoming them was incredibly important to me as a kid, and in turn, growing up. I've only recently realized this (even though little lessons from the show always popped up in my head growing up), and I just had to find a way to let you know how much the show meant to me. Thank you!
PS There's a bomb in the lasagna.
It's amazing to think that many of us watched Doug in the 90s and even with several years under our belts we remain still love the animation motion the dialog. The group of friends that I tend to interact with was yelling " Oh Douglas" at any conversation that needed a bit of spicing up. For a long time I wanted to start putting together small animations but started to see how much time I would have to invest in work and started to work in the area of film. Now I can't find a day where many of us don't spend large amounts of time hovering over a light table. Doug is one of the greatest cartoons ever made, it's inspired many friends and myself to step into the field of animation.
I loved watching Doug when I was little mainly because of Skeeter and Porkchop. Now watching it as an adult thanks to "The 90s are All That" and the internet, I think I like it even more. I never realized how much I relate to the show before and how great of a character Doug really is. The anxiety he shows is very true of a lot of kids that age. It is a great show for the current generation of kids to watch also because of the lessons that can be learned and how life for a pre-teen is displayed. Every show nowadays represents these in such unrealistic ways. I just wish we got to see Doug and Patti kiss on the lips in a non-fantasy.
I love pb and j otter!! i wish it was still on and im in my teens. What happened to it?? My and my friend are dying to find out! thanks
i agree we need pb&j back!!!!
^ thats the friend :)
I love Doug so much that I still it today. Could you add more sketches of Doug characters on your website. I'm a huge Doug fan. I love Doug & Patti.
Your number 1 fan Mercedes.
I still watch Doug. I love your work.
I'll help you maintain this for free. Seriously. I imagine it won't take too much time and I'll put it on my resume. Also, thanks for Quail Man.
testing ... is this thing on?
Lets dream a little and imagine you create a new series of Doug, who would be your target audience? What approach would you give to the series?
Jim your outdoor exhibit is awesome. Can't believe all the photos were taken with your camera phone. Love the drink can in the marsh and the fun dip! I always liked the Doug cartoon and watched it with my much younger siblings. I think I enjoyed it as much as they did.
Dear Jim, Your biggest success, Doug was phenominal when it returned to Nick on The 90s are All That1 You shoud be more proud than ever! Congrats! I just have one question: Who still has the FULL RIGHTS to Doug: Disney or ( Which I Pray to God that you will continue the series) Nickelodeon? And P.S. Happy 20th Birthday, Doug and all of Bluffington! Thanks for 20 years of making us, the viewers remember you! You will NEVER be forgottened. Keep Beliveing! ;D
Dear Jim, I had something to said. ITS GARABAGE WITHOUT BLUFFINGTON!!! The programming on Nick is trash except for Spongebob, The Fairly Odd Parents, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda and The Shows from The 90s. And dont get me started with Disney! Plaes Mr. Jinkins, do us all a favor... PLEASE Animate Doug for us again! And Doug's legacy will live on FOREVER!
Gotta love Doug, always trying to do the right thing. Also I've been reading these posts and dont see anyone mentioning the eerie similarities between the beets and the Beatles. I happen to love the Beatles and remember seeing a poster in Skeeters room of Let it Beet. Your a genious my friend, a modern day Michael Angelo. GOD SPEED
I love Doug, Pinky Dinky Doo and Others even Jojo's Circus.
Did you know that one of the voice actors that you hired for Doug which is Alice Playten who voiced Beebe is now dead?
I Like doug, Jim Jinkins, we can create something at Cartoon Pizza.
Jim Jinkins, do you have a daughter. I know you have a friend named David Campbell and a wife named Lisa Jinkins or Lisa Heath Jinkins and a son named Heath Jinkins. I wrote a script named Thinky Pinky Doo. BRING PINKY DINKY DOO BACK! Please.

And if you want to be a muslim say ashadah because you will be in the hell fire in the end of the world and your prophet is Prophet Muhammad and there are angels in your shoulders. They write whatever you do.PLEASE BE A MUSLIM!!!!!!!
Hi Jim :)
Thank you for creating Doug. It`s my favourite show for ever.
I love all Episodes but "Doug can`t dance", "Doug says goodbye", "Doug & Patti sittin' in a tree" and "Doug's birthday present " are my absolute favourite :) I hope Doug and all people in bluffington came back to live someday and tells us new great stories :)
Aw-wee-oo Killer Tofu :D
Would it be possible to get a mailing addess to send a photo to be signed by Jim? All of us Doug fans would be so greatfull!
Dear Jim Jinkins,
I always loved watching Doug on Nickelodeon. Thank you for creating it. :) If I was studying to be a cartoonist, I'd say that you would be my biggest influence, your style interests me.
There's one question: How come you sold your studio, Jumbo Pictures to Disney in 1996??? Doug looked so much better on Nickelodeon. Why sell your HQ to Disney? Billy West did an awesome job as the title character and Roger. Whatever your decision was, its the reason your best creation is now dead & discontinued. What was supposed to happened if Doug was still on Nick? What REALLY happened? Why go to Disney instead of Nick?
If you want to tell me what happened, please reply, from your fan,
Hi. When did you first get involved with Nickelodeon, and how many different projects did you have going during the early years, besides Pinwheel?
hello, I am a big fan of Doug i start watching the show when i was 10 or 9 and i love it my mom just to say i was like him, no just because my Middle name is Douglas. It was because i was adventurous, with crazy ideas and funny but just on my birthday my sister gift me a production cel from Doug and i love it. But my question is their any chance you can sign this cel for me i will appreciated and treasure this piece of art. my email is firstname.lastname@example.org i will be waiting your response. Thanks.
I have seen some old promo videos of doug like this from the grapefruit advertising from 1988. The woman in the clip looks totaly like dougs art teacher :-)
I have a question. How many promo advertising exist from doug? I know this one with the grapefruit and the early promo from 1990.
Great site, i've been thinking about getting a free blog from weebly, do you recommend it?
Hello, Mr. Jinkins. I'm very well sure you know that you work has been an inspiration to many people (including myself as a child) and you've made a difference in other's lives. I grew up with your show PB&J Otter and continued watching it until eventually I never really saw it around again. I'd catch it as often as I could to relive those moments of my early childhood. As a matter of fact, I'd still watch it to this very day at 17 years of age, and enjoy it as much as I did when I first watched it.
I'm not sure if you take personal requests or not, but I'm hoping you give my question a little thought. Recently I went searching to see if I could find a PB&J Otter DVD set somewhere, and couldn't find a thing. I concluded that the show was never released on home media of that sort. Have you ever thought about distributing a few PB&J Otter DVD sets that feature all 3 seasons? I'm sure many of the fans of the show would love to have access to that. I would definitely buy a set to enjoy with my family, as they enjoyed the show as much as I did. I really did love that show, and would love it even more if I could relive those childhood memories.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I couldn't find any other way to contact you, and I was determined to let you know how much I've appreciated your work. It really meant a lot to me.
I love Doug Funnie!!! Used to watch everyday when younger :)
Best Cartoon ever!!!
I grow up with Doug.
Doug is my idol.
I love everything on this show.
Doug helped my out of my depression.
This show changed my life for 100 %.
I watch this show all time.
God bless you Jim for giving me/us Doug!
Doug is such a great show. Everything from the art style, to the storytelling. Easily one of the best nicktoons and animation cartoon shows of all time. I think NICKELODEON did the show BEST.
Is there any chance to make new episode of 101 Dalmatians: The Series? I love this series, and I'm feel bad, when this series don't continue crazy 17 years. That would be huge surprise, really!
Thanks for answer. Richard
Thanks for your amazing work in animation. Loved Doug.
Your show and others inspired me to become a voice actor. And now I'm even starting my own animation series.
Just read a HuffPost article about you and Vanessa Coffey at Nick... Fascinating story. Here's a link if you haven't seen it:
Keep up the tooning!
Was Patti mayonnaise black??
Hello, Mr. Jinkins, I really enjoyed your show Doug growing up, are you still active in making shows?
Hello Jim, I really hope you still read these comments. Can you please release the complete PB&J Otter series on DVD? There are several fans of the show out there, including me, that would really love a home release for the beloved Playhouse Disney series.
